Highland Hotel 7 Day English Lakes & Scottish Lochs
First Day - South Hotels
Travel north, towards Cumbria and the Lake District for your overnight stop in the Lancashire area.

Second Day - South Lakes
After breakfast we make our way to England's most famous and largest lake, Windermere. There will be a stop in the picturesque town of Bowness, close to the point on the lake where steamers leave for the islands and other shore side settlements. Early afternoon we continue our journey north through Rannoch Moor and Glencoe to our Highland Hotel in Fort William.

Cruise Loch Linnhe and explore Fort William
You are in the true heart of Scotland when you wake up to the floating mists of Loch Linnhe and the distant hills of Sunart. The breath-taking scenery of Lochaber surrounds your historic hotel from which you will take a trip on the only loch that follows the Great Glenn Fault, Loch Linnhe. This cruise is a unique opportunity to view Scotland’s marine life, glimpse the highest peak in Britain and then explore the outdoor ‘capital’ of Scotland, Fort William.
Jacobite Steam Train
The Jacobite Steam Train is described as the greatest railway journey in the world and explores some of the best landscapes in the Scottish Highlands. The trip begins near Ben Nevis, Great Britain’s highest mountain, before heading west to Arisaig. The Jacobite line then passes close by the deepest freshwater Loch in Britain, Loch Morar, and the shortest river in Britain, River Morar. Finally, the train passes alongside Loch Nevis, the deepest seawater Loch in Europe.
Inverness
Also known as the ‘Highland Capital’, Inverness is the main city in the Scottish Highlands and although it is one of the fastest growing cities in Europe it still retains its market town atmosphere. Inverness offers a wide range of local produce and shops to explore as well as castles and heritage sites. We will travel via Loch Laggan and through scenic glens into the very heart of Scotland, Aviemore, a popular highland resort and centre for both summer visitors and winter skiers.

Heading Home - South Hotel
After breakfast, we make our journey south to Moffat for a lunch stop before continuing towards Lancashire for dinner and overnight stay.

Last Day - South Hotel
After a leisurely breakfast we return home via Snake Pass and Ladybower reservoir for a lunch stop at the Peak District town of Castleton. For the more adventurous there will be chance to climb the hill to Peveril Castle or browse the gift shops for the famous local gemstone "Blue-John".
