Cruise Loch Katrine

Soak up the spectacular scenery of Loch Katrine and enjoy a cruise on board the famous Sir Walter Scott steamship. A cruise is the perfect way to enjoy the romantic landscapes and timeless beauty of the Trossachs. The Sir Walter Scott is a historic ship and has been cruising on these waters since 1900. Named after the author Sir Walter Scott, who played a huge part in romanticising Loch Katrine in his poem Lady of the Lake.

Jacobite Steam Train

The Jacobite Steam Train is described as the greatest railway journey in the world and explores some of the best landscapes in the Scottish Highlands. The trip begins near Ben Nevis, Great Britain’s highest mountain, before heading west to Arisaig. The Jacobite line then passes close by the deepest freshwater Loch in Britain, Loch Morar, and the shortest river in Britain, River Morar. Finally, the train passes alongside Loch Nevis, the deepest seawater Loch in Europe.

The Waverley

One of the most iconic and historic ships – Waverley is the last sea-going paddle steamer in the world. Magnificently restored to her former glory with towering funnels, timber decks, gleaming varnish and brass. You can see and hear the mighty steam engines as the Waverley glides through the sea, giving passengers a glimpse of by-gone times.

Edinburgh

Scotland’s Capital seamlessly blends old and new, making it a fabulous city to explore. The Castle and the Royal Mile are steeped in history and Scottish culture. Holyrood Palace lies in the heart of the city alongside the new Scottish Parliament building and it is the combination of ancient and modern that makes Edinburgh such a vibrant place to visit. This bustling city offers a wide variety of shops, food and drink, as well as some of the best city views in Europe.

Oban

The largest town in Argyll & The Isles, Oban is known as the 'Gateway to the Isles' and is the 'Seafood Capital of Scotland'. Oban has a way of drawing out the romantic side of visitors, with its mists that roll in from the sea, and the hills which overlook the bay. The most iconic feature within Oban is McCaig's Tower, a Colosseum lookalike that stands above the town and offers wonderful views out west. From seafood to whisky, Oban offers a great range of local produce - all well worth sampling!
